Three auctions for certificates of quota eligibility for shipment to Honduras in 2021 under CAFTA will be held from January 11 – January 22, 2021 for 2,015 MT; July 12-July 23, 2021 for 2,015 MT; and September 6-September 17, 2021 for 2,015 MT. The tariff rate quota for chicken leg quarters will be allocated through an open and public auction system. CA-PEQ, Inc. will issue certificates of quota eligibility to the high bidders in the auction.
One auction was held for shipment in 2008 and 2009, two auctions were held in 2010 and three auctions were held for shipment in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Click on Auction Results to view results of these auctions.
Interested parties who want to bid on certificates that gives them the right to import duty free chicken leg quarters into Honduras, must submit a bid form and carefully follow all instructions contained in the bid instructions. Failure to follow the bid instructions could result in invalidation of the bid. Bid instructions may be viewed on-line or printed for review.
Bids will be submitted in units of metric tons, with a minimum bid of one metric ton, and a minimum bid price of $22.04 US dollars per metric ton. Bids must be accompanied by a security deposit.
